Samhain

O Samhain também chamado de Halloween, Festival dos Mortos e Terceiro Festival da Colheita, é o mais importante dos oito Sabbats dos Wiccans.
Samhain celebra o final do Verão, governado pela Deusa.
Samhain é também o antigo Ano Novo celta / druida, o início da estação da cidra, um rito solene e o festival dos mortos. É o momento em que os espíritos dos seres amados e dos amigos já falecidos devem ser honrados.
Houve uma época na história em que muitos acreditavam que era a noite em que os mortos retornavam para passear entre os vivos. A noite de Samhain é o momento ideal para fazer contato e receber mensagens do mundo dos espíritos.
Um antigo costume de Samhain era acender um fogo no forno de casa, que deveria queimar continuamente até o primeiro dia da Primavera seguinte. Eram também acesas, ao pôr-do-sol, grandes fogueiras no cume dos morros em honra aos antigos deuses e deusas, e para guiar as almas dos mortos aos seus parentes.
Era no Samhain que os druidas marcavam o seu gado e acasalavam as ovelhas para a Primavera seguinte. Diz-se que acender uma vela de cor laranja à meia-noite no Samhain e deixá-la queimar até o nascer do sol traz boa sorte; entretanto, de acordo com uma lenda antiga, a má sorte cairá sobre todo aquele que fizer pão nesse dia ou viajar após o pôr-do-sol.
As artes divinatórias, como a observação de bola de cristal e o jogo de runas, na noite mágica de Samhain, são tradições wiccanas, assim como ficar diante de um espelho e fazer um pedido secreto.

Já por várias vezes me disseram que era dificil encontrar alguém no mundo como eu. Talvez seja verdade, e aqui está mais uma prova.
Enquanto toda a gente da minha idade se diverte em praias, em festas, em discotecas, e blá blá, relax, descanso e descontração, eis o resultado das minhas férias: trabalhos em gesso =)
Cada verão arranjo uma nova ocupação, e este ano apeteceu.me fazer algo especial; assim, passei o mês inteirinho de Julho a pintar peças em gesso. As primeiras sairam piores do que se possa imaginar, mas fui melhorando ... acho ^^'.
No final, acabei por oferece.las todas. Parece que encontrei algo que me descontrai, além do Yoga (uma das minhas maioreeeeees paixões), e que dá bons frutos; ainda ouvi alguns elogios =D, para variar ...
